some healthy changes

lately i have been trying to make some healthy changes in my life. yoga, more fruits and veggies, mediation, prayer and lots more. my anxiety has dissipated and i have been feeling better than i've felt in a long time. i can't even tell you how good it feels. tyler and i tried nekter juice bar and were happy to find that we liked it! i have been wanting to try it for a long time, but was hesitant, it just seems so trendy. but it's good people! try it! i have also been practicing yoga more and the quote below was the focus of our practice a couple weeks ago. i LOVE feeling happy and healthy. good things are happening and i am so grateful for the blessings in my life.

emerson's 2nd birthday parrty

i am SO happy that we got to go visit emerson and make it to his 2nd birthday party! we got to meet his baby brother, calvin and spend time with tyler's sister and her husband too. what a fun weekend with family. just being together and enjoying each other's company was so nice. and how adorable is my nephew?!? oh my goodness, i can hardly stand it! that picture of him in the birthday hat is just to die for! happy birthday emerson! we love you!

hinking to the Y

while in provo for emerson's second birthday we decided to hike the Y. i had never done it before so i thought it would be fun. i hiked a lot in vegas and in california so i thought, piece of cake! NOT! okay, maybe i'll blame it on the altitude, or maybe i am just not as strong as i though i was, but that was a gnarly hike! because of time, we only made it half way up and i can't imagine how long it takes to go all the way up and then all the way back down. even though it wasn't exactly what i expected, we still enjoyed time with emerson and tyler's mom and some pretty amazing views!
maybe next time i'll try again and make it all the way, maybe next time!

the county fair

for our first weekend back in california we hit up the orange county fair with the caldwell's and the mulroney's. we love being back close to family and friends. the day was perfect. sunshine, overeating, a cool sea breeze and lots of people watching. i love this tradition!

oceanside with the rex's

every year the rex's come to southern california. we love that they come visit because that means that we get to go down south and hang out with them. this year they were in oceanside. it was beautiful. babies and cute kiddos everywhere. perfect weather and the ocean. it was fantastic!
