mother's day

mother's day was beautiful. we had a delicious breakfast with tyler's parents and then headed to church. afterwards we headed down to laguna beach and visited shaw's cove. it was SO nice. i     wanted to jump in the water SO bad. it was nice to spend time together and enjoy the beautiful california weather. i am so grateful for the mother's in my life. i have many women who have influenced me for good and i am blessed to have them guiding and supporting me through my life.

i also thought a lot about my new role as a mother. soon i will take on this new challenge of mothering a precious little boy. words can't really describe how blessed i feel that Heavenly Father has entrusted tyler and i with this little soul. i can't wait to meet him!

park day with rex cousins

julia and her cute boys, emerson and calvin, came to visit for a week. it was great to spend time together and to watch all the cousins play. laughing and playing babes and deliciously chubby sleeping babe. it was great!

christmas morning

christmas was so fun this year. brylee was so stinking cute opening her gifts. it was so much fun to watch her. we all just giggled and admired her. we had breakfast, opened gifts and then we all headed off to spend the afternoons with our in laws. it was such a nice and easy day. it's getting better and better as we focus on the next generation as opposed to ourselves.

to end the day we went to see the secret life of walter mitty with the rex's. it was SUCH a good movie. the feel good ending just made my day. it definitely did not disappoint!

fishing in utah

while in utah for thanksgiving we decided to enjoy the great outdoors. we all went to a nearby lake and attempted to catch some fish. i mostly just sat back and enjoyed the view, but the kids had a great time and did better than the adults! it was nice to just spend time together being outside. it was beautiful.

all of the judd rex's at the conclusion of the funeral for uncle wayne
we ended our trip by saying a tearful goodbye to uncle wayne selph. he was so loved by everyone who knew him. the funeral services were beautiful, all of his children spoke and were able to tell their favorite stories of their dad and express their love. i am so grateful to have been able to be there. it was an emotional day, but we also were able to see so many family members that we love.

we love and miss you uncle wayne!!!
