hiking in red rock canyon

during our time in vegas we went on a lot of hikes. this particular time we had fun with our friends, the warburton's. they are close family friends that lived nearby and we spent a lot of time with them. it was a beautiful day just before the summer heat started!

tyler's mission companion, his sister, her husband and her sister-in-law came to visit us in vegas all the way from france and greece! first off, they all had amazing accents. why couldn't i have been from some exotic place? i would be SO much cooler! we took them to grimaldi's for pizza, down to the strip and to the hoover damn the next morning before they headed to the grand canyon. they spent 3 weeks touring the united states and i am super jealous. they've seen more of my country in 3 weeks than i have in 26 years! i need to get on it! also, tyler and i have decided that we have to go to europe now. for reals.

m&m world with the holland's

over memorial day weekend the holland's came to visit us in vegas for a night. we hung out, chatted and played with their cute little girls. the next day before the left we went to m&m world. it was super cute and of course i couldn't resist buying a ridiculously expensive bag of m&m's from that crazy wall. the colors were so pretty, i couldn't help myself!

bubba gump shrimp

we hit the strip with tyler's trainer and his wife for some bubba gump shrimp and a walk down fremont street in down town las vegas. while the food was amazing, the spectacles on fremont street were far weirder than i was used to. definitely something to experience once and never again! but a fun night all in all! bubba, we will be back!

mom, dad and jack come to visit

having mom, dad and jack come to visit was so nice! it felt so great to have family in town and to just be around them. since dad loves to hike, we took them for a nice hike in red rock canyon. it was great!

misen place

tyler took me out for a super fun date night. we went to a cooking school called misen place. we watched as they cooked our meal and explained each course. the food was to die for and the set up was awesome! i wish they had more places like this, it was so cool!

a visit from the rassmussen's

during our short time in vegas we have had some great people come visit us. the amazing rasmussen family came to stay with us for the weekend and we had a great time. we hit up grimaldi's for some insanely delicious pizza, lounged in our pjs and visited hoover damn for the first time! it was fantastic. we love you rasmussen family!!! thanks for being such great friends!
