first off... i cannot believe that rockwell is already two months old. time really is flying by. second, he is a big kid, but i kind of already knew that. he had his check up on august 13th. we really love our pediatrician, she is super sweet and very thorough. i feel like she is genuinely happy to see us! on the way to the doctors office i was already stressing out about his shots, i hate seeing him cry. i started to tear up as soon as we got into a room while i was getting him out of his car seat. when the nurse pricked him with the needle and he started crying his awful sad cry, i just lost it. i held him and we cried together. then i nursed him and he fell right to sleep.
the next 48 hours he was a bit groggy and lethargic, but he wasn't too grumpy. he got a little fussy at times, but not more than he normally does. he slept well, had a bit of a fever the next day, but with a little baby tylenol and some good cuddles, he was just fine. we feel really lucky.
