the huntington

california in the spring is probably my absolute favorite time of the year. the smell of the air. the blooming flowers. the perfect temperatures. i love it. spending the day at the huntington library, art galleries and botanical gardens was how we spent my grandmother's birthday.

in all the years i have lived in california i never knew of this magnificent place. it's nestled in a neighborhood in san marino, right on the border of pasadena where the houses are to die for! if you haven't been you need to go. it was fantastic. enough to see to spend days, you'll never want to leave.

we also decided to drive by the house from father of the bride. it was only a couple miles away from the  huntington! the neighborhoods we drove through were amazing. tree lines streets, super lush gardens and beautiful old homes that are all kept up beautifully. i think i need to live here. like seriously.
