Hike...
So last saturday morning my dad and I ventured out on a brand new hike. It was super long and really fun! It was the first time either one of us had been on the hike and it was a really nice breezy/sunny day. There was a really cool switch-back we always saw on the other trails so we finally decided to try it and it was great! Here are a few pictures. Oh how I love my dad. He is living proof that even though you may be old in years you can still be young at heart!

Volleyball Game
Last friday Tyler and I wanted to go watch his high school volleyball team play edison high school. Tyler thought it would be a good idea to bring my brother Jack to introduce him to high school volley ball because Tyler wants Jack to try out for the team this summer. Jack will be going into high school and according to Tyler he shows a lot of potential as a setter so we thought we would bring him along to the game so he can see how it all works. I think he liked it. Esperanza won and Tyler's mom and dad showed up with our brother in law Mike. It was good to see him. He was here for the weekend and we even got to go out to BJ's the next day and hang out with him a little bit more before he headed home.

Thank Heaven
To celebrate my wonderful cousin Tiffany's birthday we decided to do a girl cousin night over at her and Kim's house and it was pretty fun. I ate way too much candy and drank way too much soda and I am pretty sure we all talked way too much. But that is what makes girls nights what they are. Too much of a lot of things. :) But the real story is about the 64 oz big gulps. I really wanted to get a big gulp so Tiff and I headed to 711 and found these super duper gulps. I laughed so insanely hard just filling it up! We had to get the super straw too which is about 12 inches long. It was hilarious and all the laughter was definitely worth the stomach ache and increased bladder activity. By the way... I never realized how many soda choices they have at 711. It is outstanding!!!

Anaheim Boat Show
On friday Tyler, Chase and I went to the Anaheim boat show and we went straight for the big boys. Here are a few shots of us on a 35 footer. It was cool to visualize what we would love to have someday. Tyler and I have some pretty big dreams. We would love to go in on a boat with Chase someday and take sweet vacations up and down the coast. We had a lot of fun lusting after the boats and we're heading to the Newport Beach boat show at the end of the month. We've heard the boats are even bigger in Newport! We're stoked!

Happy Birthday Morgan!
We had a few different gatherings to Celebrate Morgan's 25th Birthday... We had a birthday dinner at my parents home, lunch today with all of the people from work, and on Friday my sister rented a Porsche for him! He loved it. He is a car man so this was probably the best present ever! We sure had fun watching him discover the car... good surprise skills Kimmy!

Where is the one place you can go and act like a total idiot?.......Vegas!
Well I didn't act like an idiot, but I did go to Vegas. The title of the blog is a line from a favorite movie of mine "What Happens in Vegas"--it is amazing. If you haven't seen it--rent it! MY co-worker Pat and I went to Vegas for a day to visit our other co-workers (they are running our Vegas company--SignSource Las Vegas). We got to stay in the Bellagio because of the amazing rates and we got upgraded to a suite for no extra charge! It had three bathrooms (two of which had tvs and telephones in them), a big king size bed, and an amazing view of the lake and the other hotels. For those of you unfamiliar with the Bellagio it is the hotel that all of the guys stand outside of at the end of the Oceans 11 movie. It was amazingly luxurious!!! Anyways... a short trip but definitely worth it! I even took a bath before bed and I didn't even have to bend my legs! I finally found a bath tub I can stretch out in! I am stoked! Here are some photos...

Goodbye Dylan... Happy Birthday Jessica, Ryan and Julia!
Here are a couple pics of Dylan before she left last saturday. She is such a cutie and we will miss her! We are so grateful for our growing family and all of the love that we share. After Judd and Cindy took Ryan and Dylan to the airport Julia, Tyler, Judd, Cindy and I went to Lucille's Barbecue for Dinner in Irvine. It was amazing! All of our meals were scrumptious and the cool blues band even sang Happy Birthday to Julia (her birthday is next week and we won't get to celebrate it with her). It was on Jessica's birthday that we celebrated Julia's and Ryan's was last week. Pretty crazy! luckily we don't have any more birthdays to celebrate for another week or so. haha. Here are some pics of the weekend.

Tahoe
We got a new car about a month ago and it has finally been washed and waxed! I wanted to post a picture as Tyler did such a good job cleaning it today so that we could go sailing. He was really excited that his parent's laser fit on top so now we can go sailing more often. Chase, Tyler, Judd and I all went down to Balboa and the boys hit the ocean while I went on a nice sea breeze jog. It was nice and cool and we are so proud of our nice new Tahoe (or as Tyler likes to call it "Big Baby"-- he wanted to name it after a player on the Boston Celtics). . .

Anaheim Ducks.... Goal!!!
Well tonight we had an amazing time watching the Anaheim Ducks win! CenSource (my Dad's Company and where Tyler and I work) had a suite and it was so much fun! All of the people from our office were there and there were also some clients and friends. It was a really good game... We won in over time. It was also Helen's 82nd Birthday. Helen is the Mother of Ron (our client from Ruby's Diner) and she got to come to the game! She was the sweetest lady too! My mom and dad surprised her with a birthday cake and we all sang! She was so overwhelmingly grateful and hugged and thanked EVERYONE that was there. She was so appreciative of all of us sharing her birthday with her. I am so glad that she had a good time... I sure did. Nothing really tops endless yummy food, sweaty men playing sports, and good company! :)

55
yup... my dad is 55 and yes he still exercises. He has lost 50 pounds over the last year or so and I am so proud of him! Well the reason I mention it is that I mentioned in my last post that I went on a cool hike with my dad over the weekend and tonight I went on another one so I thought I would post some photos. But I really am proud of my dad. I have recently changed my habits and have been able to lose over 10% of my starting weight. It takes a lot of hard work and discipline to be healthy and strong and I am glad that my dad gets to enjoy such beauty while he does it. I wish I lived close to this. I would be out there everyday like he is! I could stay up there all day! Enjoy...

Nothing to Report
It has been a while since I have posted so I figure I would jot down a few thoughts for you all. The last couple weeks have been busy with school and work. I took a couple exams and got an A on one and still don't know about the other, but I am hoping for a miracle in that course.
We got lucky the last couple weekends because my cousin Devon and his wife Whitney came into town last weekend and then Josh and Laura and their cute baby Kylie came this past weekend so we had fun playing games and visiting with them.
We also went to the LA Temple last weekend because the Newport Beach Temple was closed for cleaning and found this amazing Pizza place. It is called Johnny's NY Pizza and its on Santa Monica Blvd. It is superb.
We went on an amazing hike on Saturday with my dad. It was insanely gorgeous. Wildflowers everywhere! There was one part of the hike where I was walking in the middle of wildflowers that were taller than I am! I loved it. I was singing Tom Petty the whole time. :)
Oh and good news... Tyler's sister Jessica and her husband Mike are going to be able to officially adopt Aaron and Owen! They have been foster parents to them for the last year and a half and now the biological parent's rights have been terminated. We couldn't be happier. We love and miss them and can't wait to celebrate with them soon!
All in all things are good. We are still alive and we are busy busy and can't wait to be done with school. One day... one day.
P.S. I got my Diploma in the mail from Fullerton College. I earned:
"A degree of Associate in Arts Sociology with HONORS"
Seriously the last time I was on the honor roll was like 5th grade. I didn't even know I was getting my degree with honors, but apparently when they reviewed my file they decided to throw that in there. I am stoked! I am totally going to frame that puppy! Okay... I am officially done bragging for now. :)

Little Feet
On friday night Tyler and I went to visit with my cousin Shira and her husband Devin. We had a lot of fun talking until the wee hours of the morning. But the best part was when I got to feel her baby boy kicking in her cute little pregnant belly. I've known she was going to have a baby for a few months now, but it has finally sunk in. I have grown up with Shira and we have both watched each other experience things throughout our lives and we have been there for each other through it all. I love and appreciate her and the closeness that we share. It is really a special experience for me to see her prepare to be a mother. It makes me realize that I want to be in her position someday in the near future. Those little feet kicking reminded me... If God blesses me with the opportunity to be able to bare children, I will be able to feel some little feet kick my belly someday. What an amazing thing! When life brings about such majesty and splendor, how can we not see what an intricate and splendid plan this is that we are all a part of? I am so very grateful for the many blessings in my life, for the wonderful women in my life who have shown me the way, and for the little feet.

Friday the Thirteenth
So Thursday was my lil bro's birthday and we celebrated as a family by going to eat at the Rainforest Cafe and then on friday he had his real birthday party with all of his little pre-pubescent friends. Lets just say there wasn't a moment of silence in the few hours that I spent with them and there were a couple kids that I wanted to smack around, but it was a fun party. We ate pizza, went laser tagging, then opened presents and had ice cream cake.

P.S. On Friday I took this picture after the rain while we were driving down the hill to my parents house... I love California after the rain. I cannot imagine my life without days like these. They remind me of just how lucky I am to be living in such a beautiful place. I love California!
